Announced end dates for video models, and which apps still carry them

Nano Banana Pro stopped being unlimited, and the plan pages changed around it

Google's plan pages meter Flow in credits: fifty a day free, then 200, 1,000 and 10,000 a month as the subscription steps up, with features varying by tier, platform and region. Those pages no longer call anything unlimited. Veo's own identifiers carry dated shutdowns; no such date is published for Nano Banana. From 4 source pages, read 2026-09-22 to 2026-10-26; no maker pays to be listed.

What happens when a qualifier leaves a plan pageA plan page is a live document, so a qualifier can be tightened between two readings without any announcement. Three things follow: no date is recorded, the threads notice anyway, and the only evidence a reader outside the company holds is the difference between two dated readings.A word changes on a plan pageNo announcementNo date is recordedNothing was published todate. The threads notice anywayA question withhundreds behind itInterest is not apublication. Two readings comparedThe change becomesevidenceWhich is all a readeroutside the company canhold.Silence is recorded as silence

1What this register already holds

The dated rows this register holds for the same vendor's video identifiers, and the four records of what one pipeline does when a tier is unavailable or withdrawn.

2What the plan pages meter now

Flow is sold inside a Google subscription, and the page states it in credits: fifty a day on a free account, then 200, 1,000 and 10,000 a month as the plan steps up. Characters and avatars are generated from references, and the same page says features vary by subscription tier, platform and region, with an age limit on top.

Nothing there is quantified in pictures or seconds, which is what an image model would need to be comparable with a video rate. So the plan answers what a month costs and how many credits it adds, and leaves every question about output to the model's own documentation.

3A qualifier is not part of a published schedule

The material behind this page is a question rather than an announcement: people noticed that a word had left a plan page, and there is no register anywhere that requires a vendor to announce a wording change. Plans are live documents, and a qualifier can be tightened between two readings without a date attached to it.

This register's answer to that is structural rather than editorial. Every row carries the day it was read, so a tightened qualifier is visible as a difference between two readings; and a change nobody published is never recorded as a date, however loudly the threads report it.

4The dated rows sit next door, in the same vendor's documentation

Google does publish retirement dates, for its video identifiers: the generally available Veo generations carry a shutdown date of 30 June 2026 and the preview identifiers one of 12 November 2025, in a table whose own preface says the dates are the earliest a model might be retired rather than a commitment to that day.

No equivalent date is published for the image models. That asymmetry is the interesting part: the same documentation discipline that produces a dated deprecation table for one family produces nothing for the other, and a buyer reading only the plan page would not know either table existed. Nor does the deprecation page promise any number of days of warning, so even the dated rows are dates without a notice period.

5What one pipeline does with a tier that is not there

The pipeline this register reads gives the question a written answer in four parts. A tier that is temporarily unavailable is hidden from the tier list rather than offered and refused. A tier that is withdrawn sends text and image work to the default and video work to the tier the episode last used, if it is still listed, with the price of the tier that will actually run. A segment submitted on a retired tier is refused with a message before anything is held, and the selector stops listing it. Work already made keeps its pixels and the record of which tier made it.

Read against a plan page, that is the difference between a list that can be edited quietly and a list that carries its own history. The pipeline names a model and a version against every tier, so its eleven entries are a record rather than a menu.

6What each of them publishes about its own ending

What each entry says on its own public page, read 2026-10-13.

8When the other one is the safer pick

  • You already pay for one of the Google plans — The credits are added to a subscription rather than sold separately, so the tier a team already holds is the one to read first.
  • You need references rather than prompts — Characters and avatars are built from references inside Flow, which is the same mechanism this register reads elsewhere as a reference sheet.
  • You want the count stated per month — The page adds a figure to each tier, which is a countable allowance even where it is not expressed in output.

The question behind this page was counted as "Why did Nano Banana Pro stop being unlimited?", with hundreds of near-identical threads beside it. Next in this column: Runway's renamed plan and Seedance 2.5 against MiniMax H3.
