Keeping a previous generation purchasable is the nearest thing to a migration policy that any application in this register offers. It lets a series finish where it started without anybody publishing a date.

2Silence about the previous version is a different cell

The other entry promotes a numbered generation, and numbered generations imply earlier ones existed. Nothing says whether they remain, so a production already working on one cannot tell from any public page whether it can finish.

That is recorded as not stated rather than as removed. Assuming they are gone would be as unfounded as assuming they remain, and the two assumptions lead to different plans.

3Neither describes a path forward

Having two generations on sale is not the same as saying the newer one is the successor to the older. Neither entry makes that statement, and neither says what happens to the oldest line when a third arrives.
