Which models Wan-AI carries

Wan-AI (huggingface.co) publishes the weights of its video models rather than only an endpoint, under an Apache 2.0 licence, with download commands printed on the model card. As of 2026-09-12.

Inclusion rule. Models the app names on its own public pages. A model the app does not name is not listed, and an end date is recorded only when the vendor that makes the model has announced one. Order. As the app orders them on its own page.

2Published weights change what a retirement can take away

Every other entry in this register describes a service that can stop answering. This one describes files. A published set of weights under a permissive licence can be withdrawn from the page it was published on, and that does not reach the copies already downloaded. The row still reads no date announced, because no date has been announced, but the consequence of a future date is different in kind rather than in degree.

The cost side is real and belongs next to it. Running weights means holding hardware, or renting it, and accepting that nobody is obliged to keep the model working against a newer driver or a newer framework. What is removed is the schedule risk this register exists to track; what replaces it is operational work. That is a trade a production can make deliberately, which is more than can be said for the alternative.

3The same family reaches customers as a hosted line as well

Models from this family appear on the menus of several entries here, priced per second or per video by companies that host them: the clearest of those is fal, which prices a version of this family by name. A customer of a hosted version has a menu that can change; a holder of the weights has a directory that cannot be edited remotely. Both are legitimate and this register records them as different rows.

One caution about reading a repository as a lifecycle source. A listing shows what is published today and gives no statement about support, and an open licence is not a commitment to maintain anything. The licence is recorded here because it decides what happens to a copy you already hold, which is the question this whole register keeps arriving at from other directions.

4Read column by column

This register reads Wan-AI along named replacement, stored work, default tier and lifecycle states. One page each.
