Which entries keep a previous generation on sale
Three entries list an earlier generation beside the current one, and a fourth keeps an earlier licensed model a tier below its newer one. That gives a production somewhere to stand while a block finishes. None of the four states how long the older line remains purchasable. As of 2026-09-12.
| Entry | What is published | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Adobe Firefly | An earlier licensed model, a tier below | Access follows the subscription |
| Kling AI | A previous generation, as a plan benefit | No extra purchase needed to stay |
| LTX Studio | Two house generations listed together | Both covered by the replacement clause |
| Luma | Two house generations on one plan table | Beside licensed rows from other makers |
| Every other entry | Nothing earlier is listed | A change has no fallback to move to |
Inclusion rule. An entry appears when an earlier generation is named on a page a reader can reach without an account. A version reachable only behind a login does not count. Order. By entry name, with the summary row last.
1A second line is a fact about this month
Two generations listed together means nobody is forced forward the day a new model ships, which is the nearest thing to a migration policy any application here offers. It is a property of the current page rather than a commitment.
So a production can use it and cannot schedule a season around it. One of the four also publishes a written right to replace what it offers, which makes the cushion explicitly revocable.
2Not every second line is a fallback
Elsewhere in this register a second named line is a real-time variant or a licensed model from another maker. Those are different capabilities rather than older versions, so they give a production nothing to finish on.
Reading a two-line menu as a cushion is therefore a mistake worth avoiding. The question is whether the second line is earlier, not whether it exists.
3Three entries reaching the same arrangement is a habit
Three sellers of different sizes independently keep a previous generation on sale, which suggests it follows from how product pages get maintained rather than from a policy anybody adopted.
Habits change without announcements. That is why the register records the arrangement as a menu in the succession column rather than as a commitment.
